A Foot & A Half is a group show of original artworks that are modest in size and friendly in price—but full of personality. We are looking for work in any medium, from painting and photography to sculpture, printmaking, textile, drawing and whatever else makes sense on a gallery wall or plinth. Every accepted artwork must measure 18 inches / 46 cm or smaller in every direction, including its frame, and be priced at $250 CAD or less.
Think of it as a densely hung, highly collectible year-end show: lots of artists, lots of work, and a good chance that someone walks in, falls for something and takes it home.
Please submit the artwork title, medium, dimensions, price and a clear image of each piece.
Submission guidelines
Artists may submit up to two works that fit the exhibition criteria.
Work must be original, 18 inches / 46 cm or smaller in every direction, including frame, and priced at $250 CAD or less.
Please provide clear photos of the finished work as it will appear in the exhibition. Include the frame if the work is framed.
Name image files as follows: ARTISTNAME_ARTWORKTITLE.jpg
All accepted work must be ready to hang, with secure hanging hardware attached. A limited number of plinths are available.
All work must be for sale, with prices listed in Canadian dollars.
Artworks must be dropped off in person during the scheduled drop-off hours. Gallery 1065 cannot accept mailed or couriered works for open-call exhibitions.
Commission: Gallery 1065 retains a 30% commission on sales.
Hanging fee: $35 for the first accepted piece and $10 for each additional accepted piece.
