Never the same in the retelling
Gallery 1065, 1065 Bloor St. West, Toronto
May 1-24, 2026
Wednesday to Sunday 12-6pm
Opening Reception: Saturday May 9, 4-6pm
Schindler and Lynch use collage and fragmentation to consider what cannot be fully restored or seen the same way twice. Schindler's reconstructed photographs are shaped by memory, its extension, preservation, and occasional loss, while Lynch's layered imagery evokes emotional tension and perceptual instability.
Together, the works suggest that every image carries multiple lives. Like memory, they shift with each encounter, refracted through time and the fragile persistence of recollection.
